This bespoke bedroom project was created to make the very best use of space in our client’s beautiful home near Reading. In the centre sits a full drop-down king-size bed, flanked by illuminated cabinets on either side. Cleverly concealed pull-out bedside tables and generous storage cabinets ensure every inch of the room serves a purpose, while a discreet bi-fold media cabinet allows the space to transition effortlessly between relaxation, entertainment, or hosting.
The furniture is finished in Farrow & Ball’s timeless Purbeck Stone, perfectly complemented by dark brass fixtures and fittings from Pooky Lights and Plank Hardware. Inside, solid oak drawers and soft-close doors bring a warm, refined touch to the design.
On the adjacent wall, a fully fitted office area continues the flow of design. Featuring soft-close doors, solid oak interior drawers, and integrated sockets, it combines practical functionality with aesthetic harmony. Matching oak slats and a sprayed cabinet finish tie the space together, creating a seamless connection between the bedroom and workspace.
Key features include:
A fold-down king-size bed with an integrated folding headboard and soft ambient lighting
Bespoke bi-fold doors concealing a media unit for a seamless, uncluttered look
Pull-out bedside tables that combine convenience with craftsmanship
Solid oak interiors and soft-close fittings throughout for a premium feel
As with all our creations, this project was designed, handcrafted, and finished with meticulous care in our Nottinghamshire workshop, blending timeless style with practical, space-saving innovation.
